Governor's Achievement Award
Lyndon High School has obtained the Governor's Achievement Award. Kansas schools that achieve this award must meet the following criteria:
1. Schools must have obtained the Standard of Excellence in Both Reading and Math for 2012.
2. Schools must have make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in both reading and math and one addition measure in 2012 (attendance and/or graduation rate).
3. Schools must have been among schools in the top 5% in both reading and math on the 2012 state assessments in Kansas.
Only 42 elementary schools, 11 middle schools and 18 high schools in the entire state qualified for this prestigious award.
We received a plaque from the State Board of Education that we will display in the commons area.
